Summary of the project (description and objectives)

The company Têxteis JF Almeida, SA, started its activity in January 1985, and is currently a Non-SME Company, which develops the activity of producing home textile, bath and table, presenting a wide range of products, namely, bath linen, beach towels, bathrobes, slippers, kitchen towels and tablecloths. Its activity is totally integrated vertically possessing the valences: Spinning, Weaving and Finishing.

The present project builds on the capacity increase of the existing establishment, corresponding to the increase of the Gross Value of Production (BPV) by 22%.

The new productive equipment will allow to increase substantially the installed capacity of the JFA, guaranteeing the increase of the maximum quantities of products produced in the industrial unit.

JFA’s investment project is in line with the areas of smart specialization set out in the national and regional strategy. The Company’s commitment is based on strategic competitive advantages, guaranteeing its competitiveness and sustainability in the international market.
